Happy Birthday Andrew

We will be going to the party later and Sean will drop us off. Menmen will bring us home later after the party. I am proud to have such good circle of friends. Few yet they are a treasure to me. The kids are so excited about it. I'm making some bico and fruit salad for the party.
On the otherhand Gen is finally out of the hospital. I'm so happy to hear about the good news.

When It Rains, It Pours

I finally got the package that my friend Mary Ann from California sent me. She got me a nice bag and a cute one for my daughter too. I also fitted the hand carried clothes that came from the Philippines through my good friend Dr. Barrientos. Thanks a lot Xyza for doing my a great favor (she was the one who went to the dressmaker to have a dozen of my clothes sewn. What a blessing it is to have really great friends. One that you will value forever. I am so glad for all the blessings I received. Thank you again and again.

Visiting My Friend In Baltimore

Irene just came back from the Philippines to visit her children. I ordered a dozen of blouses and she hand carried them for me. I really loved the colors and the simplicity of the cut no to mention the price. Irene came here to teach and now she came back with her husband and youngest kid. I gave her daughter a baby doll as a way of thank you for their kindness. I showed her the pics we took the last time we went to Niagara Falls and Longwood Garden. We planned to go visit them again and see the Baltimore Aquarium the next time around. Thank you really Irene for han carrying m blouses. Mwuah!!!;-)

We went to Jo ann's house for swimming last 4th of July. I woke up late and could not decide if we should go or not since I was so tired of the travel but the kids really want to go swimming. I dressed them up and we went there. Funny thing happened because our gps stopped working when we were in the middle of I-295. Grrr... My hubby wanted to go home to print out mapquest but I told him that I don't want to go home. I called up Menmen to rescue us. Thank you Men for reminding us to go there. Bob gave us the direction to their house and picked us up at Wawa since we did not follow his instruction. Thank goodness we arrived at their place in one piece. We met all our friends there and the kids had a blast swimming. I can't imagine how the kids dived on a 9-foot deep pool when they don't know how to swim. We also had karaoke. It felt good to be around some filipino friends and family. We really had fun. Thanks a lot Bob and Jo Ann for inviting us over!

Thanks For The Dinner Men

We had a blast eating, talking and looking at the kids playing in Menmen's place last night. My friend Menmen invited us for dinner in her house. I asked her what the occasion was and she jokingly told me she is going to have her debut. But when we got there I saw a big birthday gift in the living room. I was asking the rest of our friends what really the occasion was and they said it is Roger's birthday. My husband told me to make some food that I can bring but I told him that I will just bring a filipino ice cream since that is what Menmen always love to eat. Heaven's classmate had a playdate with her here at home so we waited for her mom to fetch her before we hit the road. We go lost on the way to the filipino store because I entered the wrong data in the gps. My kids loved the party since they were able to play and have fun with the other kids. Thank you Men for the invitation. Most of all Happy birthday Roger.

My Niece Is Back

My niece is with me right now since she is having problems with her marriage. She is one young and confused girl. I told her to just move on with her life. She should go find some work so can forget all her troubles and worries. Her husband has all the vices in the world. Name it he has it.
We went to Menmen's house last Sunday because I wanted her to advice my niece on what to do. She got a friend who has the same situation like her. We all exchanged ideas. My husband was our designated driver. Menmen served us some bico and some beef. Then we had filipino ice cream for dessert. Thank you men for the nice treat. I noticed that she had a vegetable garden in the backyard. She showed us her tomatoes pepper, squash, ampalaya and a lot others. she has a green thumb because I noticed her plants were really growing well. I think that's why I like her a lot because I love gardening too.

Lend A Hand

I helped two of my friends make their blogs. I may be new in the blogging world but I also want to share with them what I have learned because I really find blogging fun. I enjoy visiting other blogs and learning from them. Aside from that I have made a lot of friends. Being far away from home blogging has keep me in touch with friends and relatives too. As I thought it was fun something weird happened yesterday. I updated my blog and then all of a sudden blogger.com has blocked me telling me my blog is spam. Hmmm, I wonder why. I cannot make new post but I contacted them and told them I am not a spam. Good thing I didn't panic. What a relief that I can now write here again.;-)

Weekend Plans

This coming weekend we will be in Baltimore. We will visit my friend Mrs. Ellie, who recently had a heart operation. I hope she is doing fine. They said it's a good thing that Mrs. Ellie had her 4 nerves operated here than in the Philippines because it's covered by the insurance. It would have cost too much if it was done there. I will also visit Norma and Irene. All three of them are teaching there. Baltimore is a two0hour drive away from here. I have been there last July but I really look forward to going there again this weekend when my husband can drive us all there. I think we will save our Friday dinner for the Saturday trip. I really miss my friends. Guys we are on our way there!

Friends

I treasure friendship because in this place where you are far away from your family they are the ones that keeps you strong as a person. My friend Ate Jenny called me up yesterday reminding me of the birthday party of her son tomorrow. I also a good talk with her about life. We seem both so excited on sharing each other's experience about family and kids. My kids will be attending a carnival party in school tomorrow in school for an hour then we will be going to ate Jenny's house for dinner party. Liza ate jenny's friend also called me just a while ago asking me if the party will be pushed through. I told her yes and she will be bringing along her other filipina friend who has a good ability with make up. I'm so excited.

Paintball Fun

I belong to a circle of five friends who love to gather together. We bring along our husbands and kids for birthdays, christmases, dinners and karaoke time. I have three friends whose husbands were in military service as navy. One of my friend's husband who had served in the military before loves paintball. He invited us to their house on the 24th for his son's birthday. The celebration will be highlighted with paintball fun. It sounds really exciting to the boys and even to us girls. I am checking the Ultimate Paintball website online for a gift and saw spyder paintball gun . Wow, I am really excited about it. I hope he will be happy with this surprise. It really sounds like a good deal for me because they are having a great sale. My friends told me how the game would be played. I am also looking forward to be there since I have heard about this game but have not tried it yet. This would be my first time doing paintball.
