First Snowman Ever...

The kids did not have class yesterday. Last night it was announced that there will be no class again for today. There was too much mess on the road and it is to dangerous for the kids to go. I made some macaroons and embutido last night. I'm glad my kids loved it.
I woke up late today since I slept late last night. The kids played in the snow outside with some other kids. I have to drag myself with them. Then we made a big snowman in front of the house. There was more than enough snow to make a big one. James said this was the first snowman we built successfully ever.;-) I think he liked the outcome of our team effort. It was awesome but the crazy thing is I misplaced my camera. I have been cleaning the house and forgot where I placed my camera. I hope I can take a pic of it before it melts away.

Harsh Winter

We had our second winterstorm last Saturday. Hubby did most of the work cleaning up the mess in the driveway. After that he felt overfatigued and is not feeling well. I felt guilty of not helping him.;-( The third one is not faraway. It is expected to come in on Wednesday. My oh my, the snow has not melted yet and another one is coming in. Can you believe how harsh winter is this year? This is no longer exciting... Some towns suffered since their electrical power went out. Some schools closed. My oh my... I hope this won't be as bad.

Hubby Made A Great Dinner Today

I went to work as a cashier today. An hour before going home my boss came to my register so I greeted him and asked how he was doing. He asked me if I could stay an hour or two. I told him that I can if he will give me another 15 minutes break in which he agreed. On my break time I called up hubby and old him that my time is extended. I asked hi if he can make some dinner and he said okay. I just told him to put some onions and garlic on the beef. When I went home the smell of the sauteed beef made me really hungry. Hubby can cook well and I did have a good dinner. I asked asked him what he did with the beef since something is in it that I did not know that taste really good. He said he added some gravy with the beef and onions. Awesome! Thank you honey for always helping me out with the household chores especially with the cooking! The kids love his cooking too.;-)

To All My Friends...

How was your new year so far? Mine is a little bit busy. I am having a general cleaning in our house one room at a time. It is time consuming but I am loving the results.
I found an email from my inbox that I wish to share with you because think it is really very cute but I am having a hard time posting it here now. I really wish I will be able to share it with you guys. I will have to go to work early tomorrow. The weather channel is predicting it's gonna snow again tomorrow, I hope there's no class. Lol. Oh well, I just hope hubby will drive me to work.;-)

Thanks Ate Lynn...

We went to Ate Lynn's house last January 1. A few of my filipina friends gathered together for the party. We had a blast and the kids did too. Filipino foods, conversations and karaoke...ahhh life, what more could you ask for. Thank you so much Ate Lynn for inviting us over. I made some embutido as hubby's request to bring something over. We made some new friends too. I am hoping to be able to host the next gathering in our little house soon.;-)

Welcome 2010!!!

I just heard some noise outside to welcome the new year. The kids are still awake and are excited to see some firecrackers. They can only hear it and not see it unlike what we have back in the Philippines. Oh well, I am so glad to be still l awake and welcome the new year. Happy New Year everyone!!!!

And The Countdown Begins...
