Surprise Despida Party For Tess

Tess will be heading home back to the Philippines. She stayed for six months here in the US to visit her sister. For such a short time we became really good friends. By blood we are closely related by character we are compatible in each and every way. It's funny because we have known each other for not so long but we have develop a friendship based on trust, love and respect of who we are. Her sister decided to throw her a despidida party. We talked about it without her knowing. She slept in our house last Saturday. I made some food and she wondered why, it was something I make for special occasion. I told her I am going to share it among our filipino friends. She thought it was so sweet of me to be doing it without an occasion. Homemade embutido(meatloaf) and fruit salad, sounds yummy right?;-) When we sent her home she was surprise why there were lots of cars. I told her maybe it was just their neighbors. Then when we got in the house and everybody shouted "Surprise!. She was almost teary eyed. Her jaws dropped in surprise. Even one of the filipino priest was in attendance. She told me I was really good and cool in pretending. Hahaha! For sure she would miss us when she will be back home. We had a great time at the party. We had karaoke, long talks and took pics... a lot of them.;-) We will really miss you Tess. My family loves you so much. You know that!

The Power Of Prayer

No matter how small your voice is, no matter what state you are in life if you come to Him with a fervent heart your prayer will be answered. When I whispered to Him my heartaches and pains He listened. Thank you Lord for listening.
Not long ago I cried for an incident I considered wrong. I called it "the bathroom situation". I was yelled at a moment I never expected. I was mad but I did not talk back but I ended up crying. I talked to one of our work's team leaders and she brought it up to the HR. Funny thing about it I was also upset about this HR because I thought she ignored she saw and ignored the situation. Yesterday the HR called me and she asked for an apology for what she had done. I went up crying again. She told me she wanted me to be happy at work and I did not deserve to be treated that way. She even asked me what I want to happen but I told her I'm way passed by that situation. It should not happen to me or anybody else at work. I just hope it won't happen again. I did not expect an apology from someone higher than me but then it happened. Never underestimate the power of prayer to turn things around.

Lord Please Calm My Troubled Heart

Where can we find peace? Where can we find love and understanding? Life is a constant search of peace, love and understanding. Our experience will help us better. The bitter the experience the better the understanding of its mystery. Learning to see beauty of nature around us gives us peace. Loving and embracing the peace it gives us brings understanding.

It took me long enough to be with my lifetime partner. We were half the world away. Yet our constant communication has drawn us nearer each day. When we moved here in the States I thought I will be finally at peace since I will be with my husband. I never had a lot of issues with him. Our so called period of adjustments was not really chaotic one. Our past experience in life helped us a lot in dealing with each other. We are patient and understanding to each other. I am glad I didn't have any problem at all with my marriage.

But the people at work are the ones that troubled me. I did not expect that. Last Sunday an unexpected call of nature made me go to the bathroom. Then came the old woman our team leader and called me to get out. I was irked by such behavior. I was hurt and insulted by such action. I felt she treated me like I am uneducated and I am nothing. Nevertheless I did not say anything. My co worker realized that I looked so sad so she asked me what's going on. I burst into tears and did not say anything. I cannot stop the tears. I whispered to God,"Lord please calm my troubled heart." If at the verge of anger I said something to her I am sure it would be something I would regret later. So I kept my mouth shut. The HR even saw that and she did not say anything. So what's going on? I am glad I was able to let out what I felt today when I talked to my other leader. I felt her concern and her sympathy. She told me she will mention it to the HR. Well oh well, this might not be the final answer or closure to the problem but thank you Lord for at least calming my troubled heart.

Yay, it's Friday once again. Time flies faster than I could ever imagine. Two weeks from now my ever dearest friend Tess will be going back to home sweet home. We are supposed to go out dinner tonight but I have work til ten. I am waiting right now for another comcast phone installer. The people who went here yesterday seemed to be confused on what they were doing. I hope today will be a better day. Have a good weekend guys!

Not Again...

I was busy preparing dinner when the phone rang. I knew it was a call from work. I did not care to pick it up since I was busy cooking. I did not know the reason why but usually I don't call back when work number appears. But this time, when the phone stopped ringing I called back only to know I was scheduled to work today. Oh my goodness gracious, I mistakenly wrote the wrong schedule again. I thought I will work Thursday and Friday but I was wrong I am suppose to work Wednesday and Friday. So I rushed to the store, I was already 30- minutes late. Oh well, if they fire me that's fine I am beginning to hate this job anyway.;-(

No Couch Potato!

Exercise has become a struggle for me. I admit I am gaining more weight since I started working two jobs. I needed more energy to keep going so I just keep on eating. The winter had made me so lazy too. But I decided to start my exercise again. We went out yesterday and took a good thirty- minute walk with the kids. I forgot my sweater but it turned out to be all right. I did not sweat but it was fine it was still a good and enjoyable exercise. The flowers are in bloom and they smelled so sweet. I missed walking, I just hope the pollen would not make me sneeze. Since it rained today we did not go out to walk. Instead I stepped on the treadclimber for forty minutes. I was sweating like a horse. I forgot how good it feels to be sweating out like this. It feels refreshing after the sweat and you take a shower.

Oh la la! I am having a blog makeover and I am loving it. Thank you once again Ivy dearest for designing my shopping galore blog. As a mother, I love to shop and save. Partying Worry Free

We went to Chuck E. Cheese for James birthday party on Friday. I figured out Friday would be good since it is a weekend and some of my friends will be able to go and attend. We had around 10 children and 10 adults. James had a blast playing with our filipino friends. This is not the usual setting for us Filipinos partying. We usually gather in somebody's house to celebrate any special occasion. I have never tried having a party at home. I admit I really love cooking but cooking for more than a couple family would really be very hard for me. This is one of those days that I would miss my home country. Help and manpower is very cheap and abundant there. Everybody would always be willing to help you clean the house, cook and prepare the food. The thought of having one without anybody's help is ridiculous for me. So I thought of looking ways when I can party worry-free. Thank goodness my hubby agreed that we will just celebrate it at Chuck E. Cheese. The food was really simple but the children gathered together and are having fun. And that is priceless to me. The kids played and played and truly had so much fun. Thank you for the stress free party hon. Thank you to all my friends who came and spent their precious time with my boy!

Thank God it's Friday! I am really looking forward to the weekend. What will you do this weekend? Do you have any special plans? Do you usually have a weekly dinner date with your love ones? Did it come to a point where it become so boring? How about watching a movie for a change? Did you know that the movie Date Night starred by Steve Carrel and Tina Fey will be released on April 9, 2010? Yes, that's this coming Friday. This is a good movie for the weekend especially for couples. It will be fun to sit back, relax and watch a movie. This comedy movie will truly entertain you.
We will be having a party near the Cherry Hill Mall for my son's birthday. I think it is a great idea to watch the movie right after the celebration since the movie house is just right across the mall. It is so timely because it is also my day off the next day. I can spend quality time with my husband. Watch the Date Night Movie and see for yourself if you can relate to the characters. Most of all hope you enjoy it. I can't wait to see the movie.

James' Party

James is excited to go and celebrate his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow night. We have invited a few of our friends to spend the time with him as he celebrate his party. I love Alvin and the Chipmunks way before my kids were born. They are really very hilarious and cute little creatures. It's amazing that they are able to create different series of this cartoon movie. Most of all there is a moral lesson that we can eventually learn at the end of the movie. I have seen that the kids have now better attention span when they watch a movie so I started collecting some movies for them to watch over and over again. One of their favorite is Alvin and the Chipmunks. When they heard about Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel movie they asked me to grab a copy of it. It is available in DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download, just take your pick! The kids were happy when I bought them a DVD copy. They watch it over and over again just right on time for spring break. After watching the movie they informed me that I should have bought the double DVD Pack that includes the "Squeak Along" Bonus Disc where they can sing along as they listen to the chipmunks sing. Yey, It's My Day Off!

How's your weekend guys? I am excited and tired. Excited because I will have a day off on Easter day. Yehey! I can sleep late now but I am too tired to stay late. You see I slept so late last night and woke up early for work today. I was so glad hubby dropped by work and gave me some coffee to boost me up. I just needed the caffeine to keep me going. You are such a nice guy honey. You should be cloned, lol. Time flies so slow when you keep watch of the time but thank goodness I was finally done at 1:45. I enjoyed the sunshine for a little while. We went to the grocery to get some food. Then we head head home to check on the kids. They seem to be enjoying time with the our neighbor kid. And now they are sleeping soundly. Today is such a lovely day to start the month. They said April showers bring May flowers. With so much snow and rain I wanna say goodbye March and welcome April~! It was such a busy month that I almost forgot another month is here. A lot of things are in store for April. One, it is my son's birthday. He is going to invite a few of his close friends to Chuck E Cheese. Geez, that would be his first party there and he is really excited about it. Then my brother is going to the middle east to work and he is really excited about it. I know it sounds ridiculous but there is not a lot of jobs in store in the Philippines for him. This is his second time to work in a foreign land. Then starting tomorrow the kids will have their spring break so I will be spending time with them.
